The Corniche, in the heart of the capital, is an impressive eight kilometers of well-maintained waterfront that includes children's playgrounds, separate bike and pedestrian paths, cafes, a wakeboard park and restaurants, not to mention various Corniche beaches. You can drive through the city from east to west and meet joggers and cyclists, skaters, scooters, sneakers, sandals, stilettos, whatever! Early in the morning, at dawn, or just before sunset, strolling along the Corniche is a very pleasant and fun activity. Between the dancers, the singers, the sportsmen, the show is permanent and very cosmopolitan. The most pleasant part is located in the west, between Sultan Bin Zayed St and King Khalid Bin Abdel Aziz St: turquoise waters, white sand, beach sports, wide spaces for strolling, temporary exhibitions, snacks and restaurants. The recreational heart of the Corniche is at the end of 30 Al Khaleej Al Arabi in the Khalidiya district. Nearby, there are various individual theme parks marked out accordingly. The family park near King Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Street (26th Street) is known for its creative climbing structures, the city park near Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street has beautiful gardens. Lake Park near Muroor Street is known for its "lake" while Formal Park by Baniyas Street is known for its architecture and maze.
