BAIT AL NABOODAH
Museum restored in 2018, featuring rooms with different themes, jewelry, costumes...
The family home of the Al-Naboodah, a wealthy pearl trading family, is now a museum. Built in 1845 and restored again in 2018, it is a 2-storey house remarkable for its architecture. The ensemble, grandiose and characteristic of the Gulf region, is organized around a courtyard. The walls are made of coral and the decoration of chiseled patterns in wood or plaster. Each room has a different theme. One will also see pieces of jewellery, costumes and creations of the local craft industry.
