WADI AL HELO
An archaeological site of prime importance, featuring the remains of a Bronze Age tomb and a small hamlet
Wadi al Helo is first and foremost a major archaeological site occupied since the Bronze Age, i.e. over 5,000 years ago. It is also the starting point for a fairly easy trek, although good shoes, about 2 liters of water per person and good sun protection are required. The ruins of the small village can be reached by car without further trekking. The ruins include the remains of a Bronze Age tomb and the remains of a small hamlet that must be no more than 150 years old. A few petroglyphs too.
