A contemporary site where traces of human occupation in the northern Emirates dating back to the Bronze Age have been discovered.
Traces of human occupation in the northern Emirates dating back to the Bronze Age were accidentally discovered there in 1976 by workmen installing drainage pipes. This site is contemporary with some others discovered in the peninsula, such as Al Sufouh, Tell Abraq and Shimal. Most of the remains discovered during the excavations, more than 3,000 beads and bronze objects, can be seen in the Ajman Museum.
