AL-MANAMA ENCLAVE
A town with a pioneering atmosphere, featuring an old defensive tower and a fort converted into a museum built in the century.
In the heart of the desert, but already a few steps away from the Al-Ashqar and Bin Elwah massifs, Al-Manama is one of those cities with a pioneering atmosphere. However, the city of Ajman is only 70 km to the east. Manama literally means "place to sleep". It has an ancient defensive tower built on top of a hill and a fort, now converted into a museum. Both were built in the 20th century. The mountains provide magnesium, chromium, but also building stones. It is an agricultural region where vegetables are grown and chickens are raised.
