PORT AUTONOME D'ABIDJAN
The economic lungs of the country, the autonomous port of Abidjan, one of the largest in West Africa, handles 90% of foreign trade. This behemoth has grown by 12% over the past 10 years, and will handle almost 30 million tonnes of goods by 2023, including over 780,000 containers. And that's just for starters, as it has just doubled its capacity with a new, ultra-modern 35-hectare container terminal, inaugurated in November 2022. Costing 400 million euros, it is equipped with six gantry cranes and 36 electric tractors.
