A mosaic of rich, diverse vegetation, primary forest, cacao, rubber and papaya plants..
Half an hour from Abidjan, Domaine Bini is planted with primary forest, cacao, rubber, papaya and other plants. Living on site according to the biotope system, founder Jean-Marc Bini, his family and his team make the most of Mother Nature's generosity and the ingenuity of a naturally ecological African tradition. After a warm welcome with a gourd filled with bandji (palm wine) or coconut milk, guides take you on an educational walk through the estate, introducing you to the little secrets of the surrounding ecosystem: how coconut trees grow; why rubber trees are leaning; the cocoa circuit, from pod to chocolate; subsistence farming through the fields of manioc, eggplants and others dotted around the plot, etc., etc. Back to the camp for a locavore buffet lunch featuring ingredients produced by local villagers, who are also involved in the project, and eaten in attiéké or banana leaves. On the menu: wood-fired braised chicken, allocos and sweet potato fries, stewed fish, and one of the region's best foufous with vegetable sauce. Drinks include bandji, coconut milk and the dreaded koutoukou. A digestive siesta is possible in the hammocks under the trees, or with a nature spa, a relaxing massage with a bath of pure white, green or pink clay. Rinsing takes place in a stream near the spa, and if you'd like an invigorating boost after this relaxing interlude, try out a 70 m-long zip line perched 10 m off the ground! For the less adventurous: traditional board games such as awalé or ludo, mountain bike rides, mud volleyball (be careful, it's slippery!), slingshot shooting, birdwatching...
The Immersion package with an overnight stay includes themed versions, including a nighttime tour of the surrounding villages, campfire, candlelit dinner, storytelling activities, traditional dances to the sound of the tam-tam or a starlit evening. As for the overnight stay in the eco-village, you can choose between large Canadian tents or adorable huts on stilts with mosquito net walls, always as close as possible to nature and its breath. An experience not to be missed! Ideal for couples or families who want to recharge their batteries in the heart of nature.
