La Nouvelle Paillote, one of the first hotels in the district of France, opened in 1958. If the rooms are rather dilapidated, the restaurant is appreciable, because you can enjoy the immense swimming pool (witness of its former glory) with your feet in the ocean. The menu is well stocked with meat, fish and seafood and includes some original house specialities such as couscous, rabbit, frog's legs à la bassamoise or guinea fowl with cabbage. Not great refinement, but a well executed cuisine, in the spirit of good frankness
