This historic hotel is ideally located just off the lively Bassam beach. The superb building blends colonial architecture with African decor, as seen in the rooms: beige and ochre tones, magnificent original wooden colonnades in tropical four-poster beds with mosquito netting, African fabrics... Prefer rooms on the upper floor with balcony and view. Some have been renovated and are very pleasant. We love the lovely tropical garden, the snail-shaped pool and the paillote restaurant-bar overlooking the two waters (pool and ocean).
