One of the most beautiful traditional festivals in Ivory Coast that lasts a week and ends with a great carnival band.
After a week of "mystical retreat", the talking tam-tam(Edogbolé) is taken to the public square, where everyone dances on Mondays. Tuesday is the day of kings, Wednesday that of women, Thursday that of executives and Friday that of village chiefs. On Saturday,Ewoudolé, everyone dances again as the seven N'zima families pledge allegiance to the king. Everyone parades in costume and make-up. Sunday sees the farewell ceremony to the Abissa genie and the king's purification rite by the sea. Carnival fanfare.
