Metal bridge, 150 m long and 10 m wide, linking the France district to the Topéwo-Impérial and Ndyoflon-Petit Paris districts.
This metal bridge, 150 m long and 10 m wide, was built by Gustave Eiffel in 1928 to replace the Milliès-Lacroix footbridge and spans the Ouladine lagoon to link the France district to the Topéwo-Impérial and Ndyoflon-Petit Paris districts. It owes its name to a historical event anchored in the national collective memory: the women's march on Bassam, then the capital, in colonial Côte d'Ivoire. Notice at the level of the traffic circle of Peace a monument representing three revolted women, one of whom brandishes an accusing index towards the French district.
