The new jewel in Assinie's hotel crown is by Akoula: La Cocoteraie is a luxurious paradise on the beach side, very intimate and connected to the surrounding nature. In a handful of Balinese-style cottages, wood is omnipresent, colors soothing and bay windows open onto terraces nestled in coconut palms. Sculptures and works of art blend wonderfully into this idyllic setting, as do its turquoise pool, with a beautiful statue of a woman by Aya Konan at its center, and its Le Ponton oriental fusion cuisine table.
