SAINT-ANDRÉ CHURCH
A small church with a melancholy charm and classic Catholic architecture, offering superb views of the surrounding area.
Tucked away in the heights of Sassandra on a wooded terrain dotted with palm trees, traveller's trees and tropical essences, this small church with its melancholy charm is one of the rare examples of classical Catholic architecture in Côte d'Ivoire, where religious buildings often look eccentric. The stained-glass windows underneath the metal and wood frame are of remarkable workmanship, as are the rose window on the façade and the high windows with side claustras. The site also offers superb views of the surrounding area.
