WEYGAND GENERAL BRIDGE

A pretty road bridge built in the 1940s, offering magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and the sunset.
Built in the 1940s, the beautifully curved General Weygand Road Bridge is set on the rocks that dot the river. It crosses the river in a curve at the level of the island of Gaoulou, 15 km from Sassandra in the direction of Lakota. It offers a magnificent view of the surrounding area, which is best appreciated by walking along it (without forgetting to pay attention to the missing railings), preferably at sunset when the place gives the full measure of its great beauty. A good time for a photo break.
