LES PORTS DE SAN PEDRO
San Pedro's harbours include the fishing port, built in 1995 and home to the fishermen's colourful pirogues.
Built in 1995 thanks to a donation from the Japanese government, the fishing port is home to the colourful pirogues of the fanti fishermen who deliver the best fish and seafood in the country: sea bass, captains, carp, groupers, crayfish, shrimp, lobster... The logging and cocoa ports and the industrial zone are characterized by its intense activity, punctuated by the traffic of heavy goods vehicles transporting bales of cotton from Mali, wood in logs or sawn timber and especially "brown gold", cocoa, which is exported by thousands of tons from this port.
