HÔPITAL CATHOLIQUE SAINT-JOSEPH MOSCATI
Nicknamed the "Basilica Hospital", the Catholic Hospital Saint-Joseph Moscati (the name of Joseph or Giuseppe Moscati, an Italian doctor and saint of the Roman Catholic Church), is the fruit of a wish issued by John Paul II during the consecration of Yamoussoukro Basilica, the supreme pontiff who made to know at the time in Félix Houphouët-Boigny that the realization of the Basilica had to be associated with social works. The first stone was placed on September 6, 1992, but the work was not started until 2009. The construction of the hospital, estimated at almost 15 billion CFA francs and jointly financed by the Ivorian State and the Vatican, was conducted by architect Roger M 'Bengue under the supervision of the National Bureau for Technical Studies and Development. The work ended in 2014 and the health establishment officially opened in early 2015. Its management and exploitation are ensured by the religious of the Order of Camilties, servants of the sick. Built on more than 20,000 m 2, the Saint-Joseph Moscati Catholic Hospital has four hospital wings spread over two levels. It has 17 services and a capacity of 250 beds, and meets international medical equipment standards. The staff were very helpful and helpful. The best address on Yamoussoukro in case of a glitch (what you don't want of course!).
