MAN'S TEETH
This 88-metre-high site, to be visited with a guide, offers a sublime view unobstructed by mist or clouds.
Its ascent will delight all the amateurs of mountain hiking. Not as high as Mount Tonkpi, its 88-meter summit is nevertheless much steeper, although relatively gradual in the first part of the climb, where a narrow path winds through a lush tropical "garden" sown with various plantations (coffee, cocoa, bananas, papayas, rubber trees, cassava...) gradually turning into a humid mountain forest. The departure is made at the village of Glongouin, located at about ten kilometers in the North-East of Man, just at the foot of the rocky peak where there are pleasant small waterfalls ideal for the bathing. In order not to suffer too much from the heat, plan an early start (around 7/8 am) and count on a good half-day hike (around 4 hours round trip). Remember to bring enough water (it is very hot). Also bring good sneakers, because the earth and the granite rock are often slippery. On the outskirts of the Dent, the slope becomes steeper and the rocky passages more and more numerous. An improvised climbing stick can be very useful to continue the ascent, which we strongly recommend you to do with a guide, as the path is not marked. The view from the summit is well worth the effort, it is sublime! Especially if it is not parasitized by the fog or the clouds. A superb walk not to be missed if you pass in the area.
