BIG BOUAKÉ MARKET
In addition to a huge food section, the country's leading market features handicrafts from all over the region.
After 4 years of reconstruction following two major fires in 2019 and 2020, it should finally reopen at the end of 2024! Also known as the "super market", the equivalent of Rungis, it's huge: it's the country's biggest market and a testament to Bouaké's commercial soul. Local villagers come here to sell their produce. In addition to a wide variety of food products reflecting the richness of the terroir, you'll find all the region's handicrafts: woven or painted loincloths, gold weights and Baoulé sculptures, pottery, woodwork, bronzes, and more.
