GEDUNG KESENIAN JAKARTA

The Gedung Kesenian, located in Sawah Besar in central Jakarta, is a historic concert hall. Built during Batavia's colonial period, it was inaugurated in 1821. Designed by architect J.C. Schultze, it features a neoclassical style and has served as a theater and meeting place for various artistic and historical events. Although its programming is less regular than that of the TIM, it hosts traditional dance and theater performances. For further information, please contact the tourist office.
