Jakarta's Car-Free Day, launched in 2007 to combat traffic jams and pollution, is a unique opportunity for tourists to explore the city by bicycle. Every Sunday from 6am to 11am, the city's main streets, such as Jalan Sudirman and Jalan M. H. Thamrin, are transformed into pedestrian areas. Visitors can rent bicycles and enjoy a range of cultural activities, including street shows, musical performances, street food stalls and traditional Indonesian dances.
