Located next to the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta Cathedral, also known as Gereja Katedral, is a major Roman Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Jakarta. Rebuilt between 1891 and 1901, it is characterized by its neo-Gothic architectural style and spires rising to a height of 60 meters. The main entrance is adorned with a Latin inscription meaning "All generations will call me blessed". The upper floor houses a museum that tells the story of Catholicism in Indonesia.
