The two-storey Geology Museum boasts a rich collection including geological and topographical maps of many Indonesian regions, as well as models of volcanoes and collections of fossils, crystals, meteorites, a prehistoric skull and even a Tyrannosaurus rex and mammoth skeleton. However, the information panels are not translated. To get there, take a bemo from the station to Gedung Sate. It is advisable to visit the museum on weekdays to avoid the crowds.
