KRATON KANOMAN
Palace, located near the Kesepuhan kraton, with a museum housing various interesting exhibits and a remarkable carriage.
Just a few hundred meters from the Kesepuhan kraton, this palace, whose construction began in 1588 under Sultan Badaruddin, was completed in 1670. A large banyan tree and two stucco lions guard its entrance. The Kraton Museum houses a number of interesting exhibits, including a carriage, a pale replica of the one in Kesepuhan. The walls are decorated with Chinese and Dutch earthenware. On your way out (if you visit in the morning), take a stroll through the colorful pasar Kanoman market.
Sadly, the palace is in a poor state of preservation.
