GUA SUNYARAGI
A grotto with pools and gardens, a place of meditation and strategic planning for the sultans of Cirebon.
Erected in 1703, this grotto served as a place of meditation and strategic planning for the sultans of Cirebon in their struggle against the Dutch. It features a labyrinth-like configuration, embellished with pools and gardens, with low doors that seem to open the pathways to eternity. The name Sunyaragi derives from the fusion of the words "sunya" meaning "calm" and "ragi" meaning "body". Be warned: legend has it that if you dare to break the cave's rules, you may have trouble finding love..
