AFFANDI MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to Affandi, with a collection of Impressionist works and a small cafeteria and store.
If Affandi had been born in Paris in the '50s or New York in the '80s, he would surely have been world-famous. Influenced by Egon Schiele and Van Gogh, he used a unique technique, painting directly with his paint tubes. He died in 1990 and worked for a long time in an unusual studio perched in a tree! Affandi was buried in his zany garden. The collection consists of Impressionist-style works. The museum also houses a small cafeteria and a store. Well worth a visit!
