RADYA PUSTAKA MUSEUM
Museum featuring a vast collection of handicrafts, weapons, ancient manuscripts, everyday and sacred objects.
Adjacent to Sriwedari Park, this museum features a vast collection of handicrafts, weapons, ancient manuscripts, everyday and sacred objects. The dark, deserted halls give the impression of a ghost museum. The Kraton courtyard is accessed just before the exit, and is the only place where you can take a look inside. Attractive collections of kris (Javanese daggers), wayang puppets and Topeng masks. Explanations translated into English. To gain free entry, simply sign the visitors' book.
