80 km from Malang, 16 km from Blitar and 3 km north of Nglegok village. Allow 30 minutes by mikrolet. At the entrance to Blitar, at the fork in the road, Panataran is clearly signposted. Located south-west of Malang, this village is known as one of the most important archaeological complexes in East Java. Construction began in the Madjapahit period (first inscriptions around 1197) and continued for around 250 years. The complex includes inner courtyards, baths and 7 temples, all well maintained.
