You can enjoy Indonesian cuisine comfortably seated on carpets or chairs, almost wondering where you've landed. The place, a motley mix of Dutch-era antiques, Javanese masks and paintings, has a bric-a-brac atmosphere. The waiters even wear traditional Javanese uniforms. On the menu: chicken brochettes with satay sauce, fried tempeh and/or tofu, grilled shrimps, nasi goreng or nasi rawon (beef shank stew with kluwak nuts). An unusual place that's well worth a visit.

LE restaurant de Malang. Il propose une ambiance vraiment chouette, avec spectacle musical live (et pas dérangeant) et une cuisine typique de qualité. Et puis quelques surprises.... Le poisson du jour y était frais et savoureux à souhait qui aide à pardonner la lenteur relative du service. Je recommande.
