KOTA BROOM (CITY HALL)
Majestic administrative building of colonial architecture, headquarters of government administration and town hall
This majestic administrative building of colonial architecture, erected in 1927 by the Government of the Netherlands Indies, has since served as the headquarters of the current government administration and as the mayor's office. It overlooks a vast park adorned with magnificent mahogany trees. At the center of the park stands the Tugu Independence Monument, built in 1946, surrounded by a lake where elegant water lilies rest delicately on the surface.
