This village has carefully preserved its culture and customs. Its layout reflects a cosmological harmony, with key points such as ulu (upstream) facing sunrise and Mount Lepembusu, eko (downstream) towards sunset, and puse (center) for housing. Nggela, proud of its cultural values and traditional ceremonies, is inhabited by the Mosalaki people. Life is guided by rituals such as Loka Lolo, Joka Ju and Lobo Keda, which influence the social organization of the village.
