Friendly and pleasant welcome. Unfortunately, there's not much information to get your teeth into. One or two maps and a few brochures in Indonesian only are presented here. You'll find another tourist office in the Fort Rotterdam compound, open from time to time with greater regularity during the high season from June to August. The town of Makassar has set up a website and an app with much more information, maps and useful cultural information: www.tourismmakassar.net
