ROYAL MOSQUE (MESJID RAYA)
Go there and contact
A remarkable mosque to visit, combining Middle Eastern, Indian and Spanish styles, located opposite the palace in Medan.
It stands opposite the palace. This vast octagonal building with its black domes and minarets was built in 1906. It combines Middle Eastern, Indian and Spanish styles. The building is divided into sections comprising the hall, ablution areas, entrance doors and towers, all beautifully decorated with flowers and plants. Behind the mosque and the adjacent kindergarten lies a quiet, flower-filled, former Dutch residential area.
