The building, in very good condition, is used as army barracks, and offers a superb view of the sea. The fort features a robust architecture with red brick walls. It was designed to withstand potential attacks and to serve as an administrative and commercial center. Today, it houses a museum displaying historical artifacts and information on the British colonial era.
