Founded in Benin in September 1998, Agence Africaine de Tourisme SARL obtained its IATA approval in February 2000. Very quickly, it developed a real professionalism that earned it several nominations to the Top 20 best AOC agencies (West and Central Africa) by various partners: IATA, AMADEUS, and AIR France. In November 2001 the Government of Burkina Faso granted a travel agency license to the African Tourism Agency. The local representation of AAT (AAT-OUAGA) was in turn approved by IATA in February 2002. Recognized for its professionalism and expertise, the agency is specialized in the management of business and professional travel and counts among its clients UN, World Bank, UNDP, WHO, CARE INTERNATIONAL, USAID, ACP/EU, ECOWAS, UEMOA, AMP... The company now employs about thirty people including eight travel consultants, some of whom have more than fifteen years of experience and are perfectly qualified to meet the requirements of their clients.

The agency has become a limited company and has been restructured into a group composed of 4 departments: travel, hotels and restaurants, engineering and consulting, and public relations. The agency evolves in an international network with partners in Africa and in the rest of the world. It is a member of :

the Inter-State Federation of Travel and Tourism Agencies of West and Central Africa (FISAVET/AOC).

africa Travel Association (ATA). This association brings together professionals from the African and North American travel and tourism industries, whose main objective is the promotion of African tourism in the North American market.

american Society of Travel Agencies (ASTA). This powerful association works to promote and develop travel throughout the world. It brings together more than 5,000 travel agencies around the world.
