This establishment is the oldest pot of the country, they say... It is, in any case, one of the best traditional cuisines of Cotonou. Maman Bénin is so famous that it no longer has a small maquis but a restaurant on three levels! Three air-conditioned floors where you will find a large choice of fish and meat, braised or in sauce, but also snails andagouti. But there are also more common specialties: rice,aloko,attiéké... An excellent address to taste African dishes.

pas d' agouti the day of my passage... a decent African cuisine without being original, a rather elaborate setting with an African crowded, attentive service
for a first approach to the Beninese cuisine it is a decent hotel. for others, the chefs of the street or the maquis (local bar or small restaurant) district are more authentic

returning from Cotonou, I note significant drops of the quality of the cuisine of this establishment. Its once motivated good reputation, my first meal in this restaurant 5 years ago is a good memory, is unfortunately today to return as the dishes are a poor value for money, and you will find much better at a lower cost in Cotonou such as for example the maquis (local bar or small restaurant) of the Port.
