Founded in 1958, the Notre-Dame bookshop is the oldest and best-known in Benin's capital. On two floors spread over 900m2, and along long, well-stocked aisles, you'll find an excellent selection of books on Benin, its culture, history and literature. A real goldmine for those wishing to delve deeper into their research on the country and the entire sub-region. There are also numerous novels and children's books. Also on sale: the IGN map of Cotonou and French and international magazines.

only real bookshop worthy of the name with Cotonou but books published in Benin are very expensive (which is normal to a certain extent) and the rather limited even for works of regional attractions as the culture vaudun in which I interested since 2001 date of my first mission in this country. the desk supplies, let us not speak a highlighter ulmann about it costs in the 6€!
