DANTOKPA MARKET

Cotonou's Grand Marché, one of the largest markets in the sub-region, stocked with second-hand clothes and goods imported from Nigeria...
Dantokpa, Cotonou's main market, is also one of the largest in the sub-region. Partly covered, it extends over several streets. You'll find everything here: second-hand clothes, fabrics, groceries, handicrafts... Many goods are imported from Nigeria, often smuggled in, such as alcohol and tobacco or household appliances. Never forget that haggling goes without saying and that all purchases must be negotiated. Check your purchases carefully, as some can get lost between your hand and the plastic bag under the stall.

Without my companion I would be there always and still; -) You will get lost with absolute thing for sure.
But what a magnificent and memorable experience! Colours, smells, the shapes, noise, multitude of goods (even a skull of hippopotamus...).
Of course it is mandatory to bargain. I paid 6000CFA and 10000CFA for wax good which each have is enough for along, blouse and scarf with the Beninese fashion.
Do not let the occasion.
