Just 15 minutes from the center of Cotonou, Le Centre is one of the beating hearts of Cotonou's artistic scene. This hybrid space comprises the Petit Musée de la Récade, an exhibition devoted to the recade, a royal scepter in the form of a crozier or axe dating from the Kingdom of Dahomey, a space devoted to temporary exhibitions, notably of contemporary art, a sculpture garden, as well as a stage and a café-bar. The Center also hosts artists in residence.
