Facing the beach on one side, embracing the mangrove lagoon on the other, the Jardin Helvetia is an excellent address for a few days on the fisheries route. A warm and enthusiastic welcome from Moronikê, Benin, and Heiner, his husband and former scientist, who propose a return to nature under the best conditions. The 5 bungalows, typical and ventilated, are hidden in the middle of coconut trees, in an vegetation where you calves hens and horses, even frogs… All are tiled, very clean, with bed nets and above beds (bed 3 seats or crib upon request). A game of awale awaits you in each room, in the personalized decoration where the African wood abounds. Some rooms also in 3 small huts, smaller and rudimentary but very comfortable. A small swimming pool is intended for children, as the owners also live on the premises with their two children. And for adults, direction the beach…

The restaurant is located at the entrance, under a huge boats. On the menu, translated into French, Fon and German, many fish, necessarily. But no egg, to avoid any risk of salmonella. Moronikê is extremely attentive to the well-being of its clients.

A deplorable welcome. The bungalow 25000 had a TV, fridge, a fan and electricity was not in service before 19:00 There was a bathtub in the bathroom, but no tap for it. The bathroom has no longer the memory of the vision of sponge. At the bar we ordered 2 Sprite and served 2 beers us because there was no more Sprite. We left to further sleep, split the inn Cauris.
This accommodation on the road to Peaches, 11 mile after tar of Cotonou, is a charming place to stay. Moroniké and his team warmly welcome you, you need a means of transport and do all so that your stay in Benin is a good time.
Good location near the ocean (dangerous swimming) and garden full of birds and margouillats.
Good food.
