THE TEMPLE OF ADJAHUTO
Small temple in the middle of a clearing, where large processions are held, bringing together many of the country's royal families
In the middle of a clearing, the Adjahuto temple is a small temple which marks the exact location of the termite mound where Adjahuto would have disappeared in the Togoudo forest. If the visit of this temple is far from being unavoidable and that it is complicated to find someone to lead us there, big processions take place there every year in August. Processions which gather then a very large part of the royal families of the country. Near the temple of Adjahuto, there is the sacred pond where the priestesses go to draw water during the celebrations.
