A meeting place and crossroads of intercultural exchange, Ouadada also offers city tours and organizes tours throughout the country thanks to a network of experienced actors. It is also in charge of renovating Porto-Novo's network of vodoun squares. A restaurant in a charming, flowery and verdant setting offers fresh fruit juices and African and European dishes.

A magical place, warm welcome, an artistic discovery, I recommend you to go and meet the creator of the Ouadada center in Tokpota, Gérard Bassalé. We there after a very pleasant evening, dined, met many talented artists. Only one not to be missed, motto!

If you are looking for tourism which puts human one in the heart of its program, if you want to discover wild and imposing places in classic tours, you let take by this intelligent guide, generous and enthusiasts who is Gerard, enjoy the quality of meetings that it allows you to live with fishermen, market gardeners, extractor of sand, lovers of Voodoo… you will discover another form of tourism, which is a real exchange with the mutual Benineses, a real pleasure. Un grand merci à Gérard qui nous a fait découvrir Porto-Novo, la lagune, Adjarra et la rivière noire, et qui nous a accompagnées, ma belle-soeur et moi, sur la route des pêches vers Ouidah, puis le lac Ahémé et ensuite Ganvié. Par la grande connaissance de son pays, des coutumes et des croyances des Béninois, qu'il nous a fait partager, il a rendu notre voyage passionnant. Nous en garderons un beau souvenir ainsi que le souhait de connaître encore mieux le Bénin. Si votre chemin vous amène vers le Bénin à Porto-Novo, contactez le centre culturel Ouadada que Gérard a fondé avec Hélène, une adresse incontournable.

The Ouadada centre, in Porto Novo, is a need, both for Benin and the World. The culture and the voodoo passed on by the expertise and passion of Gerard are a deep, a rich heritage site that it takes part to keep and showcase.
In addition, this centre is structured contemporary arts and Beninese artists in a beautiful and pleasant enclosure accuracy, which they built after stone stone.
You should not be missed under any circumstances to discover the multitudes facets and wealth of Porto Novo and Benin by energy, knowledge and passion of Gerard.
And finally, their Pineapple juice is a great delight.
I would have an unforgettable memory of this incredible country whose Ouadada center is a fabulous ambassador.
