Set in the heart of a vast teak grove, this family-run hotel offers 24 ventilated or air-conditioned rooms, all on one level, in a very friendly environment. The rooms are of average comfort and could do with a refresh. But the setting is pretty and it's pleasant to stop off for lunch (more for the setting than for the food, incidentally). The garden is well organized: there's a crocodile enclosure, some welcome shade and, among the huge teak trees, some long wooden statues.
