Boukoumbé market, famous for its tchouk, a millet beer, and for its engraved pipes, renowned throughout the country
The market, held about every four or five days, is famous for its tchouk (millet beer). You'll also see engraved pipes, renowned throughout the country. There's also a handicraft store on the main road opposite the Sisters' school. You'll find pipes, masks, hats... At the market itself, you'll find just about everything, as Boukoumbé and the surrounding area is one of the country's main agricultural hubs. Enough to stop for a quick snack on the way if you happen to be passing through.
