Visit Natitingou or Boukombé with a guide to discover the inside of a tata
The Somba are reputed to be shy people. It must be said that, in the not so distant past, when men were dressed only in their penis cases, they were looked upon as curiosities. Moreover, it is undoubtedly an obvious fact, but it is better to recall it: the tata are not visited like a model house, open to the public. They are places of life. So, if you want to discover a tata from the inside, you must be introduced by a guide, who you can find in Natitingou or Boukombé. A really unmissable visit to the north of the country!

I have just spent 15 days to Boukoumbé and its region. People are very warm and smiling. The guide is also used for translation because in villages, they speak not very French!
