Part of the same group as Parakou's charming Hôtel Majestic, the Sota, named after the nearby river of the same name, is a bucolic and relaxing stopover on the way to the W. Once you've checked into one of the 25 rooms, you can enjoy the bar and a fine restaurant (cost between 3,000 FCFA and 7,000 FCFA for a dish), as well as the swimming pool, which can prove to be a lifesaver in one of the hottest areas of the country (access at 2,000 FCFA for non-residents). A highly recommended address in the area.
