Långholmen Island is a great place to swim. It can be reached from the Hornstull district of Södermalm via two bridges across Långholmskanalen. If you follow the path along the water or walk up to the park to the west, you will inevitably reach the main beach. It is often crowded and noisy, so you have to go further to find more secret places. The cleanliness of the place is surprising and you can always find a corner of lawn or a flat rock to spread your towel and have a good time.
