The heart of the old town has long been home to traditional Swedish cuisine. Founded in 1722, Den Gyldene Freden, meaning Golden Peace, is a true institution, owned by the Swedish Academy which selects the Nobel Prize for Literature. The restaurant belonged to the famous painter Anders Zorn and was the favourite restaurant of the artist-composer Evert Taube. Here you can enjoy high quality Nordic gourmet cuisine in an elegant 18th century restaurant with antique furniture.

Un très bon dîner dans ce restaurant situé à Gamla Stan. Si vous souhaitez manger "local", vous trouverez des plats traditionnels comme les fameuses boulettes de viande. Une grande variété de pains suédois, un très bon service, mais des prix un peu élevés. L'un des plus vieux restaurants de la ville.
