Lady Hamilton was the mistress of a maritime hero, Lord Nelson, whose name is borne by another hotel in Gamla Stan, owned by the same family. It is the smiling portrait of this lady that welcomes you at the entrance. This very old house (it dates from 1470) was renovated and transformed into a hotel in 1980. Its location could not be better, next to the royal castle and the big church (Storkyrkan), and a stone's throw from the big medieval square (Stortorget).
