The ship Mälaren, built in 1914, had a turbulent existence before being converted into a hotel and permanently moored on the banks of Södermalm in 1977. The warmth of the wood and the marine decoration make you want to stay as soon as you step inside the red, green and white painted boat. The rooms can accommodate one to four people (note that some have a shared bathroom). Just a five-minute walk from Slussen and Gamla Stan, Röda Båten is one of the city's most unique and conveniently located accommodation options.

For a successful Stockholm. This charming inn happy! Bunk beds, a tiny compact room, a mini porthole with seen on the lake and the town hall. Ideally located and a brilliant welcome! We really spent a super time to Red Boat, and if we must dating back to Stockholm undoubtedly we would choose Red Boat including accommodation!!!!
I recommend this hotel for the atmosphere and originality for services. It is a large boat whose decoration of the reception is really very pleasant. The rooms are tiny and with bunk beds. The showers are on the ground and when we visited had hot water at the women and cold water men.
