China Teatern is located in the small park at the junction of Birger Jarlsgatan and Hamngatan streets. In 1905, a great star was born within these walls: Greta Garbo, in the role of Anna Karenina. Today, China only stages Swedish plays and musicals, which generally remain on stage for several months. The stagings are excellent and appreciated by audiences. There's also a restaurant, the China Matbar, where you can enjoy their theater menu, bookable at least 10 days in advance.
